kalegi masala

kalegi masala is  a chicken recipe popular in the states of Maharashtra and Goa. kalegi masala is made with some kalegi, onion, tomato or some Indian spices. everyone loves to eat kale masala. kalegi has a lot of nutrioional value. kalegi is also known as GIBLET in English .today we will learn how to make kalegi masala.


 INGREDIENTS:

  • 1kg kg
  • 4 medium-sized onion
  • 7 black pepper
  • 7 cloves
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 2 small stick of cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ginger -garlic paste
  • 2-3 bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp curd
  • coriander leaves
  • 4 medium-sized tomato
  • 3tbsp red chilly powder
  • 1tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2tsp garam masala
  • 2tsp vinegar
  • coriander leaves
  • Kasturi methi
  • salt
  • oil

METHOD:

  1. Firstly add 2 tsp of vinegar on kalegi and mix well keep it aside.
  2. Make a fine paste of onion. and fine paste of tomato (first blanch the tomato and then make a puree out of it.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, black pepper, cardamom, roast it for while.
  4. Add onion paste. cook the onion paste till golden brown.
  5. Add ginger-garlic paste. cook it till raw flavours goes completely.
  6. Now it times to add a tomato puree. after that add, dry masalas red chilly powder, coriander powder,garam masala mix the masala so well with gravies.
  7. Add curd into the gravy. add salt and 1/2cup boiled water.
  8. Add kalegi and cook it for 15 min on low to high flame.
  9. Add crushed Kasturi methi and finely chopped coriender.
  10. Have this kalegi masala with roti and dash of lemon juice.
