Sheera is also known as suji ka halwa. Sheera is made with semolina , sugar, ghee or some cashew nuts. In Maharashtra, sheera is made on a special occasion. It is a sweet dessert. Today in this blog we will learn how to make quick sheera or suji ka halwa.
INGREDIENTS:
- semolina 2kg
- cashew nuts 50gm
- raisins 30gm
- cardamom 10gm
- sugar 10gm
- water as required
- ghee 450gms
METHOD:
- Heat a ghee add semolina.
- Once semolina lightly brown add water.
- After 10 min add sugar and raisins.
- Cook slowly till the grains swell and water absorbed. stirring all the time.
- Add cashew nuts, and crushed cardamom powder.
- Serve hot.
