sheera | suji ka halwa

Sheera is also known as suji ka halwa. Sheera is made with semolina , sugar, ghee or some cashew nuts. In Maharashtra, sheera is made on a special occasion. It is a sweet dessert. Today in this blog we will learn how to make quick sheera or suji ka halwa.


 INGREDIENTS:

  • semolina 2kg
  • cashew nuts 50gm
  • raisins 30gm
  • cardamom 10gm
  • sugar 10gm
  • water as required
  • ghee 450gms

METHOD:

  1. Heat a ghee add semolina.
  2. Once semolina lightly brown add water.
  3. After 10 min add sugar and raisins.
  4. Cook slowly till the grains swell and water absorbed. stirring all the time.
  5. Add cashew nuts, and crushed cardamom powder.
  6. Serve hot.
